Fellow IB Diploma Candidates

Fellow IBers...question...do you know if we have to get the diploma in order to get the credit for a 5,6 or 7 on the HL exams? I don't think that I'll have any problem getting 5's and 6's on the HL's but my SL's are freaking me out right now considering we take the exams in a little over 2 months and I still have a lot to learn. So theoretically, if we didn't get the diploma cause we were off by a couple points but we got the scores on our HL exams, would they still award us credit? On the NYU website they just say that the award credit for a 5,6 or 7 on a HL exam, making no reference to the IB diploma itself.

Yes, they would still give you credit for the HL exams. Whether or not you get the diploma carriers very little relevance and most U.S. colleges: if you want credit, it's your HL exams that matter.
