Fenn School (Concord) versus Meadowbrook of Weston

Besides the obvious, all-boys versus co-ed, could parents familiar will both or either of these schools elaborate on the pros and cons? Thank you!

nobody?

one last try

Bsalum, Fenn and Meadowbrook are day schools. They’re far enough apart that it’s highly unlikely the same family will have students in each. Fenn boys often have sisters attending Nashoba Brooks School, an all-girls school in the same town. Meadowbrook is co-ed.

They both have good reputations. It’s a matter of which commute makes sense for your family. Visit both and apply to your favorite.

I get the sense that Fenn is more sportsy—maybe just because it’s all boys—and that Meadowbrook is artsier. Take this with a grain of salt; it’s based on just a few kids I know who’ve gone to both places.

I have been to both schools for parents meetings but haven’t looked for my kids. Both are good schools. Visit and talk to parents there - usually parents are at the open houses.

thanks!

How difficult are these schools to get into…and other Boston area private middle schools?

Meadowbrook is very difficult. Kids lock in pre-K and there is not a lot attrition. Meadowbrook is considered a feeder into Nobles.

@laenen Thank you!
