Few activities

I was looking at the Yale application online (CommonApp it seems) and they have 7-8 lines to write your EC activities. I am only involved in 2-3 real ECs, and maybe one more EC like "member of math team." Is it possible to gain admissions to yale, or any top school without many ECs?

Thanks!

Absolutely! In fact, it’s probably ideal that you only have a few activities that are your main focus. They give you seven slots just in case.

Thank you WishyWashy, I am feeling a lot better. I am involved in two publications and a moot court team. If I can get to the top of all three activities (EICx2/Captain), do you think I will have competitive ECs for the Yale applicant pool?

Yes, it’s much more important to have leadership in a few clubs than just have lots of clubs.
