thanks nicholep you have been great

here how im going to rank the colleges: keep in mind im going to be a Bio major/premed and not an enginner

of Ge’s is after i took into account my AP tests

Muir (8 GE’s and very social college)

Marshall (7 GE’s and OVT)

Warren (13 GE’s, heard good for engineers but im not going into engineering)

Sixth (13 GE’s)

Revelle (14 GE’s including Foriegn lauguage i hate FL)

Roosevelt (16 GE’s including Foriegn lauguage i hate FL)

what do you guys think?

Muir, Marshall, and Warren were my top three choices. Just keep in mind that they are everyones top three(in that order). Also, I know that pre-med students like to go to Revelle because of the GE’s, but if you really hate foreign language then don’t pick Revelle.

nicholep: really? i was under the impression after reading all the countless threads about UCSD colleges is that Muir and Warren are the best, then comes revelle and marshall, followed by sixth because its the newest and roosevelt because it has the hardest GE’s.

How does UCSD decide which college you get into? a computer algorithm based on your points total? or is it some other method?

^It’s really up to you to decide what GEs are the best. Look at the options you’re actually given. One college might have you take a couple more classes, but maybe they’re classes you actually want to take. Needless to say though, I pretty much agree with your list.

is it true that if you do engineering in warren college you have to double minor in non engineering fields?

i would rather have a engineering minor w/ my engineering major as opposed to a music or dance minor

^Absolutely not. You have to take 3 classes in Fine Arts and Social Sciences, but minors are 7+ classes, so it’s not even close.
