I am a gap year applicant from the uk and my school has never had american college applicants before myself so they are just as clueless as I am
I was looking at the various requirements for the colleges and had a few questions:
-
What information goes on the Common App and who submits it?
For example, in the UK the students fill in the relevant info and the referee then puts in the reference, checks all the info and submits the application to the universities - is it the same for the CommonApp? Can the referee (or in this case, the counsellor) see the entirety of the Common App and everything I fill in? Is the counsellor the one who submits it to the colleges or is it myself? -
Where do the grades go?
I have already finished school, therefore I have my final year reports and my final alevel grades. So where is this info submitted?
I think I remember being told that my final a level grades go on the school transcript, and they ask for a mid-year report?
and by ‘mid-year report’, do they mean things like the grades I was working on mi-way through the year?
- speaking of , What is the mid-year report equivalent to for UK schools? and since I have finished school, do I just submit my final school report?
How do we submit this? is there a section on the common app for my counselor to fill in my grades or do they want the actual report (booklet) scanned and emailed to them?
thanks everyone
