I have a few questions about the common app.

When I called the admission office they said none of the forms were required. I have also read, but am not sure about the teacher recommendation. It says this is not required, but rather recommended will it hurt if I don't send one?

For the common app essay it asks what are my reasons for transferring. However in the supplement it asks how is your career plan associated with your course of study. I feel like some of the stuff will overlap in both of these essays is that okay/ how should I approach this?

Thank you Dean J, I have one more question for you about the supplemental essays. I don’t really understand how to approach the first essay that asks: How do the possible career or professional plans you indicated on the Common Application relate to your planned course of study? What should the length be as well, there is no word count listed?

I am applying to the college of arts and sciences with the intention of being admitted to Mcintire so I would be applying as pre commerce and am interested in finance and international business. So should I focus on what what programs UVA offers that interest me and will help me compared to my current university or is it asking for my experience (work/internship/ecs) that have contributed to my career goals?

If you are applying to the College of Arts and Sciences and are undecided about your major, indicate your general area of interest.

If you are applying to , Commerce, tell us why you have chosen this field and what experiences (work, internships, etc.) have prepared you for it.

I am just confused because I am not applying straight to the commerce school, but know that I want to once I am in CAS.

Okay, and under the question there is no specified length. With the next question about sending an item to space it says to limit the response to one page. What should be the length of this first essay?
