Few Questions .. Thanks for any helpful feedback!

I have a few questions, if you can give any information at all that would be helpful!

I’m currently in a Virginia Community College (NOVA) and I’m looking to transfer to USC/UCI or SDSU on the websites I can’t find if my credits i’m taking now will match the CA school , but they are mostly general classes ; ex: ECO1/Bus LawI etc. So my question is 2: Is there anywhere on the web that i can see if they will transfer to CA school or For general classes like those are they normally accepted?

When I first started off at the community college I was unsure of my major and if I really wanted to go to college so since the first time I entered Community college until now has been 4 years. 2 years I was out of college and working (because I didn’t want to waste money on a major I was unsure of) and after the first sem. my grades were VERY LOW. Since then I have started retaking those classes and getting A’s and have decided on a major BUT my questios is will colleges decide my acceptance on my past actions or now?(btw i’m a business major)

3.) Off hand do you know which UC school take Spring Transfers?

Thanks a lot for any replies!!

The best thing to do is to compare the courses you completed to courses in the general catalog of the interested campus. After comparing the courses you then need to make your best judgment on if the courses are similar enough to be equivalent and transferable. Not an exact science but, the best thing to do. You might even contact the campus to see if they will do a course articulation for you before you submit an application; UC Davis does not and I don't think many of the other do either.
When you apply be sure to explain your gaps in education. The explanation will be reviewed when the campus is evaluating your application.
Please keep your eye on University of California - Admissions for any spring opportunities. The page should be updated soon with the spring information.
