Few Questions

If I was involved in volleyball and swim my first yr. of high school, but then was unable to compete the following years because i was also taking classes at a junior college, will they look negatively upon my application because of the lack of athletics even if im still shape and what not?

Also, Im graduating a year early from high school (i have more than enough credits and a sufficient gpa) will they look negatively on early grads?

Thanks so much!

Some of this will have to do with whether your earned a varsity letter during that year you competed. The majority of those selected for appointments have a varsity letter in a sport in High School so you need to be mindful of this as you compete for your slot. I don’t know that they will look at an early grad “negatively” simply for graduating early, but it does give you one less year to “pad” your resume to compete for that appointment.

Shogun- thanks for your imput and honesty :)

If you’re graduating a year early, would you be 17 years old when you begin at West Point?

yes i will be 17
