<p>I think your description of "waste" accurately reflects the sentiments of the people I was refering to. As I said before, I don't agree with their conclusion.</p>

<p>While it remains to be seen if, at the end of the day, any significant [positive] change in the middle east will result from our continued presence in Iraq, I think the more important question is whether there will be any change in our security here at home. That too remains to be seen.</p>
