FIG Courses

I'm entering FSU in the fall and I already know my major (Marketing) so I wanna take the prerequisites for my major and get them out of my way soon, and I was looking at FIG clusters, and I was wondering would joining one really matter that much in terms of getting the classes I want?

Because I really don't wanna do the FIG Colloquium! I really need answers please.

You mean [Freshman Interest Groups](http://undergrad.fsu.edu/FIG/about.html)?

I think joining a FIG in your area of interest would help.

Join a FIG if its an area that interests you, signing up for one just blocks your schedule with those classes. Plus you have ~20 people that you go to every class with, which is kind of nice.

But if you’re not interested in the subject I wouldn’t do it. I took a criminal Justice FIG and hated it because it was tailored to CJ majors and I really wasn’t interested.

Getting into pre-req courses is really easy btw, so you don’t have to join a FIG to get them

Plus you’re just starting, relax a bit. What’s the rush?
