Filing income tax return that's originally not in English

Hey guys,

I am from Germany and have to send my parents' income tax returns to all the schools I've applied to.

My question is: How did you guys proceed when you're original income tax return is not in English? Did you let it translate by a prof. agency? Or did you simply translate it yourself and sent it along with the original?

I am really confused about what the appropriate way is and am wondering, now, how other students dealt with this problem.

Best regards

I translated them myself. In the process I learned just how complicated the German income tax system is.

Hi. In my case, the city hall kindly spent about 30 minutes to translate the income tax returns. I think translating them yourself would be fine, but maybe try contact the financial aid office just to be sure.
