Hello i know that the fafsa is first come first served which is why i filled it out January 1st. I used my parents 2014 tax info since they didnt file their taxes. My parents just finished filing there taxes and i was wondering if that imputing my 2015 taxes will make me get less finacial aid.
Filing taxes is not optional if you meet the definition of those required to file. If you file, it is not optional whether to report it to complete the FAFSA.
I assume what the OP means is that he or she used the tax information from 2014 to estimate the numbers on FAFSA.
OP, now that your parents have filed their taxes for 2015, you have to go back in to FAFSA and update the numbers to reflect the correct 2015 information.
