Film Camp

For my sixteenth birthday my parents decieded that I could go to The New York Film Academy's Summer Camp for film making. I have always wanted to learn how to ,ake films since I took this class on Film-how to anyalze and understand movies. We watched classics like Psycho. I am thinking of being a director someday and I just wanted to know if anyone at cC has gone to this camp and their experience with it. Future Thanks

I really want to know if anyone at cC as done this camp or anything similar. Please respond

My father, who is a film professor, kind of scoffed at the program when I mentioned it last year. I'm sure it'll be a great experience, but his opinion was that it wasn't very...reputable. I don't really know what he was trying to get at.

I went to the Maine Photographic Workshops last summer, for photography, but they also have tons of film programs. Each student in the film class made their own short film--some of them were very good. There is a beginning one and an advanced one--which made a longer movie that I think is actually at various film festivals right now. It was a really awesome experience, and I would definetely encourage you to look into it.

Thanks for responding-I'll look into that program you mentioned-do you know if they have an website or a way to contact them for more information?
Thanks again
