Film major in Davis, Irvine and Santa Cruz?

How are they? I know that they are not the BEST, but I intend to
go to a community college in California, TAG can put me in those schools
if I do everything right. Davis and Irvine are considered good schools
by most people, and I plan to attend one of them if possible. Are their film major
horrible? Is it something that's not respected?

Thank you very much in advance for replying.

(What major I will be taking is not really important, what's important is that
I get into university of california, it's good for my resume. What I am good at
is making videos, I would do well in UC if my major is something that I am good at.)

these schools only offer a degree in film studies, which is basically heavy on film theory. although, these schools do offer production courses(SC being probably the most developing one), they are very small and limited.

if you want a film school in the UC range, apply to UCLA. oddly enough, the CSU system has at least 8 schools(CSUF, CSULA, CSULB, CSUSF, CSULB, CSUSD at the top of my head and I know there’s more) that offer film production degress (_ ***?) and they are considerably cheaper…

hope that helps.
