Film Production schools

My major is a film production. I was admitted by a couple of university – UC San Diego as Visual Arts Media with computing Emphasis, UC Santa Barbara as film studies, and San Diego state University as Television, Film and New Media production. I want to study Film production, and screenwriting for film. My question is, “which is the best university to study both fields – film production and screenwriting – among above universities?” Please give me your opinion about the advantage and the disadvantages of each university for my major, and their reputations in film industry.

I wasn’t admitted by USC as Film & Television Production, but my name is on the wait list. Does anyone know how many students USC admits from the wait list?

i dont know much about your major, but i will say that UCSD has probably the most indirect major to your desired field and you should really consider only SDSU and UCSB as your options.

My friend who is majoring in film chose a CSULB instead of SDSU, but i think her primary logic was that CSULB will provide better internship opportunies being so close to the LA area.

I would say a UC is better than CSU so go to UCSB but i dont know how reputable UCSBs film program is
