<p>My D who is OOS received her financial aid package from Purchase by e-mail. It is only loans - Stafford subs and unsubs and Parent PLUS. We have definite financial need - twins who will be freshmen and fairly low EFC, but they are offering no grants or work-study. Is this typical of SUNY, or because we are OOS?</p>
<p>Even at a private uni, the institution's determination of what a family can pay is often more than what the family feels it can comfortably afford. And at a state school, most of the finaid may be earmarked for in-state students.</p>
