I JUST got my fin aid profile updated today and I recently accepted it about an hour ago or so. Now, how exactly do I pay my registration fees? Is it not true that fin aid for registration fees is supposed to be shown as a credit on the zot account? I already signed up for DEFT and completed the entrance counseling for direct plus loans. So, anyone having the same problem or am I missing a step or two? Thanks

Google UCI zot bill. It should take you to a website where you enter ID#, student user name (the one that came with your email), and P/w. You can pay by credit card. Once on the website, on the left hand column click FALL 2009, this will show your current unpaid fee’s for the following quarter. from there you can pay via checking/savings/credit card.

Unfrotunatley, I am not sure how FA is supposed to show up since I do not recieve any. I suggest you log in and look for in the help section. There should be a phone number that you can call and have that straighten out! Pay NOW so your classes won’t get dropped!

UCI will automatically deduct registration fees from your financial aid before you physically receive it. The remainder will be disbursed on the 21st, when the quarter officially begins. The credits on the ZotAccount, I suppose, is what will be disbursed to you this quarter.

Yes, I get that a credit will show the disbursement of how much fin aid will be applied for that quarter and the rest of my fin aid (after registration fees) is either sent to my house or my checking or savings account, but my zot account doesn’t show any credit. I know for sure that I don’t have any hold on my account. Is there a waiting period to receive funds through the zot account? And if so, will I need to pay for my first quarter out of my own pocket?

you cannot use a credit card to pay any of your balances on your Zotbill. My parents tried to, but were unsuccessful no matter how much they wanted to. The final bill for the Fall semester is due before Oct. 15th. I called the Student Billing Services office. For questions contact Campus Billing Services: CBS@uci.edu, (949) UCI-BILL (824-2455). the woman was very helpful and explained everything to me.

No, the registration bill is due TODAY. The housing fee is due October 15th, so be careful with what others are telling you. If you do not pay today, you will be placed on hold and you will have to pay a $50 late fee.

And yeah you might have to at least make the payment with your own money but you will be reimbursed for the amount if you have done the direct deposit thing into your account or you will get a check in the mail.

And there shouldn’t be a hold. Maybe because you waited so long to accept your financial aid because mine got taken care of right away and they automatically payed my registration fees with my financial aid and applied the rest to housing about a month ago already. So yours will take a while since you JUST accepted your financial aid.

thanks guys for all the help. I paid for the first quarter out of my own pocket (ouch), but I’ll wait for the fin aid money. :)
