another bump

prob last bump... pleaseeeeee

Ok I guess I'll be chancing this one. Your ACT and SATII's are low for Cornell. Other than that, everything points towards good chances. It will all depend on who reads your application and how much they value your, what shall I say, personal traits (ec's, essays, work experience) over your numbers. A 95 gpa should hold you strong though. I'd say you're one of those people that really does have to wait till dec. 15th or whatever to find out. Good luck!!

lol dude your act is not low for cornell...dont listen to this kid

Hey calm down I don't really know ACT's...I was just judging by the conversion to 2100 SAT which does seem a little low.

go to the collegeboard and the sat factboook...the 30 sat is right in the middle of the 50th percentile

Ok beefs if you really want to split hairs here...

grantorture - please notice that i did chance you when the other people on here did not. I did say you have a decent chance of getting in, but you'll have to wait because it depends on who reads your application and what they value. Your SATs are average. Everything else looks good.

Better?

lol you gotta chill out bro...just check your sources and facts before you post them is all

beefs- Thanks for the reassurance, I think my ACT is OK. I really, really, really hope we both get in. I'm sure there are only so many Hispanic meteorologists at Cornell, even though you may not consider me Hispanic :/
I speak fluent Spanish though, if that helps your opinion out? And I have a billion cousins in Chile, but I don't consider myself Chilean.

Rollercoster- Thanks for your input. For the univ. the middle 50% is 28-32, but for CALS the middle 50% for enrolled students is 26-31. I know the SATII's are low, but they are not required, only recommended, so acc. to Cornell "they cannot hinder my admissions chances." I know my test scores are the weakest part, but hopefully they are not weak enough for a rejection/deferral.

I am staring at the following status:

640math2, 610 us, 600 math1, 540 bio-E, 530 Physics, 470 chem

major - atmospheric science

Hmmm... hmmm.... hmmm...

chilean, along with all spanish speaking countries of south america, is considered latino

oh sorry beefs. Neineibu, honestly my school had poor science teachers, plain and simple. Believe me if you want, to each their own. Aside from that, I have a passion for weather, I believe that is understandable. I scores a 32 in the science portion of the ACT which counters that, and that test IS required. The SATII's are not required, and I was told by many adcoms at Cornell that in CALS, they will not affect a decision. If I get rejected, it will probably be for other reasons.
