2 courses I'm considering taking next semester have the exact same final exam time slot, same day, same exact time. Is there any way for me to perhaps talk to the professor and move one of them, or is it advised that I just choose another course?

you could e-mail/talk to the professor, but most professors are not sympathetic. it's probably better to choose another course.

what if you have a final exam conflict with a discussion. Should I just not go to the discussion? The discussion is last before the final.

I think going to discussion is more important than final.

I meant should I inform the teacher that I have to take a final or just ditch the class.

Uh. All classes end a few days before the first scheduled final. You will NOT have to choose between going to a final and attending a discussion section. And if by some divine intervention such that you had to make a choice, I suggest you take the final and forget that discussion section.

what if you have 2 exams in one day? one at 8 am then one in the afternoon-ish? like.. 5 pm i think.

^
what is the conflict? each exam is only allotted a 3 hour time slot. you take the 8 am final and leave by 11 am, then you go take the 5 pm final and leave by 8pm. All classes end a few days before the final exam period begins.

The only changes that they will allow is if you have 3 scheduled finals all in one day, all in DIFFERENT time slots. You are allowed to move ONE exam.

What I hate is that I have 2 finals on Saturdays >.<

Even if you have 3 finals in one day, sometimes you cannot move an exam. Some professors are dicks.
