Okay this may be a stupid question, but I was looking up the final exam schedule because a friend of mine was talking about hers. Is there a final exam for the Writ 111 class and the freshman seminar class? I didn't see it on the schedule.

Yeah, I know that final exams are awhile away, but I'm just curious, haha :D

If it’s not there, then you don’t have a final. A lot of writing/language classes don’t have finals, but you’ll probably have a final paper to write (which is better IMO, since you can take as much time as you want).

Some of the Writ 111 sections take part in a presentation at the end of the semester… I think its only the community sections though. I was in a CIW section last year and had to do that. It wasn’t bad, just annoying.

Writ 111’s final is the submission of your writing portfolio for the semester. It includes the research paper and two other pieces that you write for the class. It’s usually due the last day of class. It’s graded by a committee and constitutes a large majority of your class grade.

Your teacher will explain everything on the first day.
