I’m sure there is no clear cut answer, but in your opinion, how low do you think final grades would have to be to have your appointment revoked?

Never a good way to start this discussion. In 4 years I haven't seen anyone on here reach that threshold. Don't fail any classes and don't show total disinterest in your last semester and you should do fine. I have heard rumor that appointments have been rescinded, and I'm sure they could.

haha, ya that did sound bad. I'm just having a lil trouble with calculus, and could end up with a C. SO i'm definately not failing or anything too too bad.

dont worry bout it :)

the guy that works for our MOCs said to me at school: "now, dont go blow up any mailboxes or drive drunk, and you'll be okay"

You'll be fine with one C.

The C will be fine in HS. Just remember to get plenty of IA at USAFA if you slip. Calc, Chem, and Physics will kill you.

Basically don't fail your classes second semester. If you have your appointment already, they WANT you at the Academy. I was flipping out second semester of my senior year because I thought I might get my first B ever and my ALO laughed at me. The point is... you're coming to USAFA. Don't do anything ridiculous and you'll be fine. :)

I think I was in redhead's shoes in high school. Now I'm happy to get a b over a c. Not exactly incidentally, I'm also really glad I wasn't born in Russia, because I wouldn't be able to communicate over there. I can't seem to learn their language no matter what which was the source of a little anxiety these past two semesters (especially when the class is outsourced to India...Falcons '11 ought to know what I'm talking about, amongst others). очен плоха!!

haha, I hated when he substituted for us...I never learned anything during those lessons. Now you know why I dropped Russian...I still love the language though, and I hope to one day pick it back up and try again (maybe after the academy though...;)).

But yeah, don't do something stupid, and you'll be fine. And get ready to start seeing a lot more B's and C's. Second semester trying, and I still haven't gotten that 3.0. Then again, you might end up like hornet and breeze through stuff like Orgo, and be fine. Depends on the person and their level of interest in school...

lol, thanks falcons. I'm doing what I love, I'm convinced that's why I do well.

Personally I'm convinced it's because he never goes anywhere on the weekends. Stay in your pajamas and play WOW... apparently it will earn you a 3.9 here. ;)

Oh no Hornet not WOW. I have a coupleof young friends at work and that is all they do.

Don't worry, I have never touched WoW, nor do I plan to. Redhead doesn't want anyone to know her WoW secrets...

Good I am convinced it is mind crack or worse. I know a Pharmacist who plays it into the early morning hours. Lives in two worlds reality and the game. For those incoming 2012's WoW and other PvP games have been the destruction of more than one new Cadet. Hard to balance the Academic life and Game life.

What about America's Army? Is there any representation of that at the academy?

(I know it's developed by the army, but what can I say, it's a fun game. If only the Air Force would develop a flying game!!!)

I played AA years ago till the new version came out. I'm sure there's a couple that might play it LAN, but I don't know anyone else that actively plays it now here.
