I was wondering on what grounds the academy will revoke an appointment?
I recently received my semester grades and, while I have done very well in all other classes, my first and second quarter grades for one of my AP classes are both in the seventies. I have never had a grade like this on my report card and have been working very hard in this class, although it has proven to be extremely challenging. Along with semester grades, I received my class rank which dropped a few places as the result of this grade. I in no way have been neglecting my work, it is just that this class is the most challenging I have ever taken. I am continuing to work hard to pull my grade up, but when the academy requests a final report, I am terrified that they will annul my appointment. Is this likely ?

They won't revoke your appointment for one C. Just keep working hard and you'll be ok.

nope in fact its highly unlikely, i had the same worry when I received an 89 semester grade in an AP Lit class this last semester which also dropped my class rank by a couple, they may require some explaining but if you give them the explanation you just typed, you should be good...

haha you got the appt., breathe bud, just breathe, see you in June!!! ;)

heres another thread too, http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/air-force-academy-colorado-springs/439450-senior-grades.html

i'm sure we'll get info in our next info packet, which is SUPPOSED to be here this month, but i think some 2011ers said they got theirs in march when the academy sent out the rest of their appointments.. so, who knows. dont do anythin until they say to :)
