Hello guys. I’m currently a senior and north Carolina, and unlike 90% of my peers, I’m still super stressed. A mix up in one of my classes led to three consecutive late grades, leading to me starting the quarter with a 60%. While my grades this year have been really good, I’m worried about something happening causing my grades to drop, and my college taking notice. Should I worry so much? Should I call down?
Also, I still have to decide on University, where I want to study molecular biology and genetics. I got waitlisted at many colleges, which is okay, but I’m deciding between colleges I have gotten into. University of Pittsburgh, University of Toronto and Allegheny college
Hey, I find that the following coping strategies help me reduce stress. This helps other people too, regardless of grade from what I’ve picked up!
- While studying try and make organized, colorful notes. A lot of people do that and it really helps you to relax while noting down some important info. It also helps to make revision easier and is a good pleasing sight.
- Give yourself a day off every now and then. Watch some Netflix, eat some ice cream and chill even if it's only for an hour or two
- Worry a bit since it'll help you push on but not too much so that's it's overwhelming you. You've got this!
I hope these help!
Good luck!
Of course you should try your best, but don’t put too much pressure on yourself. You already got into some colleges you like, so don’t be overstressed. Do you play and sports or instruments? Doing something you like will help reduce stress.
