I am applying to:
Emory Univ (ED)
Babson College
Boston Univ
Pepperdine
U C
Merced, riverside, irvine
Cal state
fullerton, cal poly, long beach
USC
St.Mary's college
Bentley
Lake Forest
(Dartmouth maybe)depends on call later on

My first choice is Emory and I have contacted with coaches at Emory, Babson, Boston, Bentley.

Emory coach recommend me to go for ED and I am doing it and he promises that I am the among top 3 in recruiting list of Track & Field
Babson Coach tells me that he believes that I have everything that babson is looking for after I show my stats
Boston Coach tells me I am accessible to general study program
Bentley, I contact him once or twice only

the thing is Emory is my first choice and I am trying to show as much as interest to Emory by visiting school next week(even though I live Cali) and getting all the information they provide. I understand my GPA is very low for Emory but I hope that they could understand my disadvantages of being an international student and attending very tough school.

So what do u guys think? chances???

bumps bumps bumps

When you mean "U C", is that University of California or University of Chicago?

University of California

Can we get some PRs?

There's another thread about this that I replied to about athletics. . .if you're fast enough/jump far enough, grades aren't of all that much importance. It's all about what you can bring to the school.

well i think it matters cuz Emory is division3 and they really look at ur academic record...well that is what I heard...My prs for last year, almost 22ft for LJ and almost 43for TJ. I am looking at 23ft for LJ and above 45 for TJ this year. My pr's from last year will put me in top 3 in Emory...while top 2's are seniors right now...

do u know how many people in division3 school usually recruite in each sports?

Oijjj:

I'm sure you'll have some good choices. My opinion about your chances:

Emory Univ (ED)...Good
Babson College...Very Good
Boston Univ...Very Good
Pepperdine...Good
UC-Merced...Excellent
UC-Riverside...Good
UC-Irvine...Okay
CSU-Fullerton...Very Good
CSU-Polytech...Good
CSU-Long Beach...Very Good
USC...Iffy
St.Mary's College...Excellent
Bentley...Very Good
Lake Forest...Good

Again, just my humble opinion. Good luck. :)

Thanks alot~
do you really think that I will have better chance with Emory than Irvine? :p
and same rating of "good" at Emory and CSU poly? I thought CSU would be my safety and Emory would be super long shot. do u think is there anything work in my favor except for the athletic?? and if you don't mind, could you do reach/match/safety thingy that you always did in other posts... :p I am not sure exactly what you mean by iffy/good/excellent :p

bumpy bumpy b

With a 22 foot LJ, you should be fine at any of those schools except USC.

i know but then how about my chance to get accepted.....

Might want to look at Holy Cross, which has better academics than BU and Babson. Also HC has strong athletic program which competes in the Patriot League.

It all depends on what's more important to you. If track's more important than academics, try to go to a league where you can perform the most competitively, like the ACC, and still get some great academics. You have a pretty good shot at running at all of those schools (less Clemson, it's damn near impossible to make that team now).

GET THE **** OUT OF HERE, PAR72!!!! How many times do I have to say it?! Every single one of your posts is telling somebody to look at Holy Cross!! You have one goal, and you fulfill it, no matter how detrimental it may be to the innocent students you preach to, who just think you're trying to be a nice person who happens to think that HC would be a good fit.

Haha. I was just looking at par72's last bunch of posts. Every single one mentions Holy Cross. Must love that school, work for it, or something else...

well it is my FINAL list....I am not trying to add anymore into it. I am just trying to find out what are my chances specifically....:p and maybe things that will work in my favor..

Oijjj:

UC's can be a little odd about admissions...definately more unpredictable.

korea respectt

:p kp baby
