Been here but now trying to help firm thoughts up from my DS.

Followed an engineering class program, many AP and honor classes in math and sciences.
Captain of one team waiting on the coach from another, strong candidate as he has been told.
Will have 8 letters by the time he is done in HS.
Just attended the Naval Academy Summer Seminar - Loved it and will be first choice, recruited athlete.
School & community activity - 200+ hours.

So here is the thought. If he does not get into the Academy he is hoping for the NROTC scholarship. On the NROTC it requires a applicant to apply to 5 schools. This is his No.5 choice of the 5 he would like to attend. On the scholarship he indicated he will study electrical engineering. Given the stats there are four questions.

Will he get into the school of engineering?

Is the NROTC program at this school tough to get into?

Are the odds stacked against him coming from OOS?

If all is good does he stand a chance at a scholarship from the school? (This may be a long shot.)
