Final Transcript for USC

<p>Hello!</p>

<p>I am an incoming freshman at the USC, and I have some concerns regarding the final transcript...
I'd already contacted the school about this, but they did not give me any clear answer to my questions, so I am here to hear any suggestions or thoughts from the CC members. </p>

<p>My GPA at the end of junior year at the HS was 3.93... and today at the end of 4th term, it went down to 3.74.
Now, I have some legitimate explanations for this shocking decline in my GPA.</p>

<ol>
<li>we found out that my father has cancer, and so there were many troubles inside of the family</li>
<li>I had pneumonia and missed school for one whole week before finals</li>
<li>I took classes at the Univeristy of Minnesota as a PSEO student, and one class where I got a C- being a 3000 level history class (and C- actually is the class average...)</li>
</ol>

<p>Over all, all of my grades for the second semester at the HS since midyear report is the following:</p>

B
A-
A-
A
A-
C-</p>

<p>I used to be a straight A student, and I am afraid that when USC sees my final transcript they'd decline the offer for me to attend USC.</p>

<p>Don’t worry about it. As long as you don’t have any Ds or Fs and have a weighted GPA of 3.0 you are FINE. Stop worrying, and look forward to going there this fall =]</p>

<p>When you say you contacted the school about this. Do you mean USC? if you did talk to someone at USC was it your admissions counselor? If you have not spoken to your admissions counselor yet I would write a brief note explaining what has transpired this last semester.
By the way, sorry to hear about your dad. I hope he responds to treatment quickly.</p>
