Finally...a completely free SAT prep course

Just found this on a reddit post and thought I’d share: ivyheroes.com

Anybody ever done it? Would love to hear if you thought it was helpful. Let me know!

Seems like the bootcamp is free so I think I’m going to give it a try.

That one isn’t free though, there are still packages you have to purchase in order to get the full course. The only free SAT/ACT score I have seen and used is https://www.testive.com/ I recommend it!

Thanks guys!

Hmm… “Testive” crashed on me when I entered my high school. (Btw, is Princeton’s SAT AVERAGE really 2340??? I thought it was somewhere in the high 2200s… damn.

I just had my first session with Ivy Heroes and it was sweet! The bootcamp is totally free, and then if you want to do more you can get packages.

I like it because the bootcamp actually has a real tutor leading the session while testive only offers the software free from what I can tell…

I’ll try to keep you update on how the rest of these sessions go!

Just tried it last week, my Ivy Hero tutor was pretty awesome and helped me a bunch w/ the math section. I think they have another free session today.

Just curious @stephsurfs88 and @stephwright - are y’all associated with Ivy Hero?

I actually did their course last wednesday and it turned out a little better than expected.

Honestly I was a little hesitant since I’m always a little skeptical of working with a teacher/tutor online but this seemed like it was ok in this case. Lincoln (my instructor) was pretty cool, had scored a 2350 on his SAT and had a lot of tidbits on things I should watch-out for on the actual test.

He then assigned a diagnostic test with the answer key so we could see how we did and follow-up this wednesday on the next “bootcamp” thingy. I guess it goes for a few more weeks so we’ll see…although I really got busted the last time I took the SAT. I only got an avg of 550 in each section, so I’m shooting for the moon here haha

@CHD2013‌ not associated but I’ve signed up for the bootcamp so far!

ok thanks for clarifying @stephwright, it just seems odd that so many new posters are joining and commenting on this one particular course
