Hey guys :D

Yesterday, some Revolution Ivy representatives came to my school to talk about their summer test prep program. I was just wondering if anyone had taken their courses? How helpful was it? I don't know if I should try it or just stick to Princeton Review? ^_^

Thank you so much (:

Yes I would also like to find out about them.

Personally, I think you should stick to PR; many of my friends, who were struggling to break 2000, had great results with PR. I’m familiar with Revolution Ivy (or Ivy Insiders, which is owned by Revolution Prep), since I know someone who is a branch manager. Basically, what they do is recruit students (“top-scoring students”) in colleges to teach the courses; they promise an increase in scores, but they actually just make the tests easier as they go along so it seems like you’re improving. If that’s what you want, then the program might work for you, but to be perfectly honest you’d have much better results buying a Blue Book and working on the topics that you’re least comfortable with. For example, if your weakness is in math, then hire a tutor especially for math and review the select topics covered by the SAT in that area. It’ll be much cheaper and more effective, I promise.

I’m getting one of these tutors. I don’t know how effective it will be, but i’m friends with the guy who’s going to tutor me, so he gave a huge discount.
