i have my calc final tomorrow. i feel so unprepared. any advice on how to get at least a c-?

show **** loads of work even if you don't know jack crap and you won't lose as much for wrong answers. This method got me a 95 on stats final and 88 on precalc final. trust me, show random work, tons of it.

That won't work.

hahah depends on the teacher.

I'd just solve 1 or 2 examples for each section and copy the loooong formulas or thrms on a sheet of paper and cheat.

It works well for my teacher. If I show a related formula and plug in random stuff and circle whichever letter, it don't lose much. Usually for 5 point questions if I show lots and lots or random work and pick none of the above as the answer and its wrong I lose 1 point. If I pick one of the other 4 choices and its wrong, I lose 2 points. Stats I sorta knew but precalc I showed him baloney especially for trig identities and it looked like I knew it because of how sloopy I wrote it and much I crammed in, so he gave great partial credit. The lowest grade he gave my BS was an 87 on a test. Usually, BS got me As

Damned easy teachers...that reminds me of a Chemistry teacher who gave Bs as his lowest grade; my 4th grade teacher once wrote recipes for various egg dishes for every question and still got an 86 on her Chemistry final.

I normally HATE teachers that easy as my calc teacher, but I don't mind it since it's actually for a hard class instead of something like chem, bio, or history etc

can you put formulas on your graphing calculator? are you even allowed to have a graphing calc? if so, use it!

Well, I have not been allowed to have a calculator in Calc I, II, or III except for very specific parts. Also, I have never had a teacher that just accepts random work for any credit.

your missing out. i took the first 2 of his pre-calc tests and got 100s because they were easy so he assumed my work was right and he saw lots of it making him think i just misplugged something even if i just put something random. i have for ap calc now too, great, great fella he is. we got calcs about 1/2 the time in pre-calc. not sure bout ap calc yet

maybe honest studying/cramming will help. Cheating will not, however..

wait was that directed at me?? If it was, tell me how thats cheating

if not, sorry nevermind

yes i got b in the class!! c+ on final. thanks for ur advice everyone
