hey guys i had a 90 for my semester average but got an 85 on my semester final in my AP class which brought my grade down to an 89 for the final score. is this really of a bad thing???

You could always beg the teacher to bump up your grade...which of course'll make him hate you, but it might be worth it.

If I were you I would beg for your grade to be bumped up. Trust me, you will regret it if you don't. I got an 89.4% in math freshman year and never asked for it to be rounded up. Biggest mistake I made.

well i already talked to him about it yesterday and he said i should come in on monday to discuss it further. i have an excellent case for a few bonus points (and im NOT just saying that, i really do) but i dont know how to properly put it across. anyone have any tips???

btw, i did not mean to originally post this twice. i guess i pressed the button more than once...

Say that you really are and were committed to the class and despite preparing for the final you got nervous and messed up a little. Then explain that you will continue to work hard in the class.

how is first semester over already o_O

we're on block schedule so i wont have that class after xmas. yea kinda lame...

anyway, the thing about the test is that my teacher is a total lazy dumbbutt grader and the only grades we had were 4 tests but it took him two weeks to grade our last test!!! i thought i did reallly bad but i ended up getting a 99 somehow (i found this out AFTER we took our midterm/final). because i thought i did really bad i figured there was no hope of getting an A in that class so i focused less on that class and more on another one in which i had a border line A. I GUARANTEE YOU THAT HAD I KNOWN THAT I HAD A CHANCE TO STILL GET AN A AND KNOWN ABOUT IT BEFORE THE TEST I WOULD HAVE DONE MUCH BETTER!!!! i literally missed the A by 3 questions (we had 75 multiple choice) on the final.

im so sick and tired of teachers being irresponsible. the test was one page front and back! it's absolutely ridiculous. he should have graded those tests over the following weekend, but noooo, guess what? that monday he told us about how he and his wife went sailing over the weekend!

no joke. is it seriously going to hurt him and his stupid sailboat if he gives me three bonus questions? btw, i sent out a 30 page study guide for my entire class and this is what i was thinking would give me extra points...
