hello, im interested in studying business and im a current senior in high school. Ive heard a few people talk about getting a finance/accounting double major and it is appealing to me. my question is, how is the courseload for this? I believe I've heard a few people say lots of the courses overlap, so it isnt as rigorous as say, Accounting and Biology double major. Is this true? My ideal plan would be a Finance/Accounting double major with a minor in Spanish, im just concerned with the workload.

How about working for Interpol instead? Now that would be a nice job.

To be serious, a double major with a minor might just take you an additional year (5 years total) depending on if you have enough credits. It's pretty common to do an additional year and I think it's really worth it. Plus you'll gain an edge with that double major and minor.

Check with your school website to see which courses overlap.

And I don't think it would be as rigorous as doing something like Accounting/Biology which are in two separate schools.

haha the Interpol my username refers to is actually a band. but thanks for your quick reply! i'm more interested in finance and the minor in Spanish is important to me as well, i'm in my 5th year and love it, would like to become completely bi-lingual. I was just thinking of the double major because if my goal of IB doesn't work out, I'd like to start my career at a Big 4 auditing firm. could I get a job there as a finance major?
