Finance Concenration in BSIB

What does it involve (class wise)?
Does this filter out all of those crappy marketing/HR classes and leave the quantitative subjects?
Does NU have many good links for Financial Co-op?

Nope. You still take HR, marketing, management, etc. A concentration is just 4 extra classes in one area. So everyone takes the same basic classes in all areas, and then you take 4 more in one you like.

Oh crap, thanks for your reply though! 4 extra classes, anyone have any links to a sample timetable? Do you know if NU has any good links in Finance? (e.g. IB?)

a few firms recruit on campus, i know merrill does but i’m not sure if it is front office work. the 6 month co-ops don’t have the same reputation as working as a summer analyst. i know they have a good connection with fidelity and a friend of mine is co-opin at bain.

Woah. I have no idea where you’re getting this. I have a friend working at Goldman Sachs doing something trading-like (I don’t really pay attention) in London right now. Wellington also recruits a lot here, although they scare me a little. There are plenty of really top finance co-ops, and plenty of people get hired after graduation because of them.
