Finance/Economics: recruiting?

I am currently a high school student involved in the college process, and NU is one of the schools I've been looking at. I am fairly certain that I'd like to pursue a major in finance or economics to go into consulting or investment banking. While I know that recruiting for these jobs is much higher on the east coast, I was wondering if anyone could provide insight on how it is at NU?

Help would be greatly appreciated, because there are a variety of reasons I'd like to attend this school and I would like to know the job implications. Thanks!

Northwestern is a very strong regional target so we have a lot of companies come to recruit on campus. Just last week, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and Bain gave company presentations amongst various other brand names.

If you want to work in Chicago area, NU has a strong alumni base that you can reach out to; NYC to a lesser extent.

Also, NU doesn’t offer a finance major, but we do have a heavily recruited program called MMSS and a certificate program in financial economics thats taught by Kellogg faculty.

Awesome, that’s exactly what I needed to know. Thanks.
