So, Hi, I was accepted for Fall of 2012. I'm glad to be a 'Nole. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone here had any information regarding FSU's Finance major. If so, please post below.

I want to go into Investment Banking, and I was wondering how good the program at FSU is, and what is the on-campus recruiting like?

How difficult is the major, and what is the difficulty in retaining a 4.0GPA in the Finance major?

If anyone can help me out I will be so appreciative.

Thanks, and congrats to the other accepted 'Noles!

In Business majors accounting is the most difficult, followed by finance (at least it was years ago). With diligence and application a good GPA is workable.

Can’t speak for the rest of the major, but the weed out class of Financial Accounting isn’t nearly as hard as everyone says it is. The professor will tell you about how 37 percent of the class fails, but you just have to remind yourself that you’re not the bottom 37 percent.

If you work hard and have the right mind for it, you will do fine… but a 4.0 is tough to attain in any major. The key to a good GPA is studying something that really interests you and that you really have a good mind for. Otherwise, you will struggle no matter how hard you work.
