Finance vs. Stats(Help!)

Hey

So I been back and forth between Finance or Stats major for the past 2 months, thought I would post on here and get some feedback.
I took AP Stats in High School, loved it, and did very well in it. Am taking Calculus I in the fall, I took AP Calc before in High School, but wanted to re-learn the basics to make sure I have a solid foundation with it since Trig was always my weak point.

The Stats major requires a lot of higher level math that needs to be completed one class after the other with some classes only offered once a year. All of the Finance requirements look like a breeze and can be taken whenever there is a class available.

What I am struggling with is all I hear about becoming a financial consultant is to go through finance, but I know Stats will offer more career choices and flexibility(which is something I really seem to be taken with).
I have friends who graduated with a finance degree who can't get jobs or friends who tell me a math degree will only be really worth it is to get my Master's in Math.
Basically
Pro Finance-can graduate in 3 years, easier courses imo, goes exactly what i want to do for my Masters of Science in Finance.
Pro Stats-I enjoy it, more flexibility in career choice

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Looking to transfer to a UC in 2 years, which major would be looked more highly upon?
Last but not least, which one will earn me the higher income (All of the charts have finance and math very close in pay)?

All opinions appreciated!

Do you have any clue what you are interested in pursuing as a career? That would make it a lot easier to help you.

UC I’m assuming is University of California. I don’t know how well you are doing at your current college (presumably a CC), but if you are looking to transfer to berkeley you may want to stick with stats just because their business school would be highly competitive for transfer.

It really depends on what you want to do with your life though. Certain doors are opened with each major.

If you could fit a double major, it would be a killer combination. I was a stats and econ double major and that opened a lot of doors. If not, I would major in finance and try to minor in stats if you are interested in a typical corporate finance-type career. If you want to do something more quantitative, then flip those two around.
