Financia Aid Notifications are up

Oh and I clicked award information and a page saying “Congratulations You have earned a BF Scholarship” pops up…

^You’re good then. It should have shown up on the UF financial aid information though. You can call them up and verify. I’m sure you’re getting the award though, good job :).

Thanks I’ll call them to verify, but its nice to know that I should get it :)

My parents income is about 38,000/yr (my dad has two jobs and my mom one). In my opinion their income is pretty low.Although we have enough to live, we don’t have any money left over after we get done with the bills/car payments/rent. I expected to get a lot of financial aid but turns out I have an EFC of 2,000.
I received bright futures,a pell grant, work study and a fl ass. grant which leaves me with a 3,500 sub loan and a 2,000 unsubsidized loan.
Guess UF doesn’t give out too much :/

I can’t imagine what will happen with next year’s applicants when they have to cut more aid :/

@gator27 my parents income is about the same, but I have an EFC of 0. hmm i guess it has to do with the number of family members?

Hmmm yea that might be it, it’s just my parents and I. Do you have any siblings?

yep! I have 4 siblings so there are 5 of us and then my 2 parents. and 3 of us will be in college.

wow the financial office at UF stinks. I’ve been trying to call for 2 days and I’ve left messages and they haven’t returned them… and their office hours are from 8-4 (school time…). Every time I call, they tell me that my financial officers are on the phone w/ someone else… this stinks I need to know my financial aid!!!

@gator27:The number of kids in college makes a difference, especially if two or more kids are in college.
@anotherindiankid: -.- Yes. I know their office really is bleh. If you want to know about your financial aid status, you just have to go to the ISIS thing. If you received an email from them, click on that link. I received my financial aid email on 3/28 if that helps.

You NEED to wait. Calling them isn’t going to speed up anything.

I already received my letter, but I have a question about it…

your letter?

Does anyone know why one florida school shows Bright Futures award as $3750 and another as $4500?

That’s weird. What are the two schools in question?

Sent from my Garminfone using CC App

UF and New College.

My financial aid info still hasn’t been “finalized”…FAFSA recieved by UF on 2/19/2011

@fischer I am in the same boat. My FAFSA was received by UF on Jan 20th and I still have nothing! People have been saying by the end of this week. Im not too worried just stressed because I want to know what I got.

i got my package this afternoon…the rest of you guys’ should follow soon enough.

everyone who already has their financial aid… did you get an email beforehand or did you just randomly check ISIS?
