Hello!

I'm a freshman business major, and I recently got into it for I was on a straight premed track throughout high school (never took a business, econ, stat class in my life, but all the AP sciences...) I'm not too familiar with the different jobs, and when I see people throwing out terms like S&T and SEO and bulge bracket and whatnot, I have no idea what they are talking about, haha. But I've been reading the past few weeks, hoping to gain more infomation :P

My question is relatively simple: I thought I wanted to go into consulting because I really enjoy working analytically with people in solving their issues, and travelling is something I enjoy. However, I do want a regular home life when I'm in my 30s--I don't want to be travelling ALL the time with half my week away from my kids and family!

What exactly do management consultants do? (say, risk management at Deloitte Consulting?) Does this differ from financial advisory at Big 4 firms? What exactly IS financial advisory at accounting firms?

Thanks!
