I will not need FA for my first year and will not be applying for it to boost my chances at schools. But theoretically, if I were to run into financial problems in my second or later years of college can I reapply for FA?
Thanks

Some schools will let you apply for FA after Freshman year but some may not. You need to check with each school on their FA policy.
There is always the Stafford Student loans available each year if you fill out the FASFA. School aid would dependent upon each school’s policy.
The “boost” you get in admissions is totally NOT worth it if you won’t be able to pay for the school in subsequent years for any reason.
Does this college guarantee to meet full need for all? If not…there is no guarantee you will get sufficient institutional aid in subsequent years.
This was touched on in your other financial aid threads. Your parents can afford to be full pay at ~$60k/year schools. Some colleges will allow students to apply for aid in subsequent years if they didn’t apply as a freshman and some won’t. If your parents lose their jobs, colleges will expect them to find others. If you think you might run into financial issues, apply to schools that will offer merit for your stats.
