Financial Aid Appeal

Did anyone else appeal their FA package? I did and didn't receive any additional aid. Just wondering if this was typical.

I appealed,as well and didn't get any thing more

Everything turned out alright because of the new financial aid initiatives!

does anyone know when we will get the final financial aid package?

"We are expecting the second review will be started in April. Once the review is completed - using the actual 2007 income information - we will send you an updated notification letter containing any changes." - from Cornell

nice! Did you email them or something niceshp?

yep. I was curious if they would change the financial aid for EDers, and they said they will according to the new policy.

thanks, good info!

thanks a ton niceshrp!

Just wondering , they say that they will cap the loans at 3,000 for those that make 60,000 to 120,000(I think). So does that mean that those who make closer to like 65,000 a year will have loans a lot less than 3, 000.

Hmm...it seems that would be reasonable Dennis173, but I don't think anyone on here can give a definite answer. Maybe call in and ask?

Wait, this is not good! If I feel right now that my FA package is not reasonable and decided to appeal, that means I would have to wait until April to get an update on my package? Doesn't that mean there's no way I can reject my ED acceptance because theres a chance they may offer me more aid?

I am so confused!
