Has anyone received their financial aid award yet?

Hi @Mrseac!

Financial aid offers for FAFSA will be released beginning at the end of March. Student Financial Services will be emailing the students and parents (the email pulls from what was submitted on the Common Application) about award decisions. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to ask back or to contact Student Financial Services directly (<a href=“Student Financial Services | Student Financial Services | The University of Vermont”>http://go.uvm.edu/hlmm2).

Just a few tips:
You can always check your application status page which will include a listing of awards or any requirements that might be missing. Here is the link to the Application Status page: <a href=“University of Vermont Applicant Services”>http://go.uvm.edu/ws5rr
Keep in mind that they will need final tax documentation for the award to go through and be finalized (versus “tentative”).

How close to the end of March? We’re trying to plan “accepted students day” visits and the FA package is an important determining factor.

Hi @popdata - Decisions should be released this Friday! Hope to see you on campus for one of our Admitted Student Visit Days soon!

Thanks, we hope so too!

They finally updated the old year heading to “Award Package July 2014 - June 2015” which means that something is probably coming soon. But alas, not yet… :-<

Disappointed. Received FA statement yesterday (online) and the UVM Grant + loans that the Net Price Calculator estimated was replaced with just loans in the award. Not even any work-study. And even with the offered loans, still a $7K gap. Seems they need to revise their NPC to make it more accurate. I understand it can’t be perfect, but this is a pretty big difference.
