Financial Aid Awards are up

@Thesli–yes, I made a password and everything. Thank you!

I finally logged in, and they also say that they haven’t received my FAFSA…and I never got an email from them either about it. I don’t think it’d hurt us because we wouldn’t have been able to see that until now.

I sent my FAFSA on January 15th and it took forever to show up (it showed up about a week and a half ago). Your FAFSA might come through in a few days. If you get concerned, I’d email them. They’ve been really helpful the couple of times I’ve emailed them. I’ve been told on a couple of occasions that you won’t be penalized about stuff like this…they seem to be very understanding.

Rats! I hope this is fixed by tomorrow.

Got mine. I have to pay ~28000k to go there?! Yeah I’ll pass. My only regret is the money I spent sending them my fafsa.

Uh, isn’t FAFSA free?

Ya the FAFSA is free. I think the first F stands for Free.

Anyways I just got mine and they are pretty quick btw. But I will have to pay almost 19K to go. Does anyone know if they allow bargaining or something of that sort?

Can I appeal my financial aid award…?
I got 27,500 in scholarship and grant and the rest in loans… and that makes case completely out of the question

Ahhh…never noticed the supplemental form until now. I just filled it out and sent my FAFSA a while ago…hope my offer comes soon.

All in all, it is saying it would cost 6,000 for me to go there. However, about 16,000 of the award is in loans, the largest one being a Direct Parent Loan. My mom really doesn’t want anything to do with paying for my college. Way to make their college unattractive. I was initially excited when I looked at the total, but now I can’t go there. Two more decision letters and possible financial aid packages to go!

SO happy! Got the Bolton Scholarship for $11,500, and a CWRU grant for $5,800. Will cost about $30,000, not including other scholarships I have applied for. Definitely going to Case!!

Is CWRU grant need-based? I got it in my FA package (came in the mail), and I don’t think my family would qualify for what they gave.

SaintSaens, I was wondering the same thing. I’m definitely not complaining that they gave me a grant, I’m just cofused because I wasn’t expecting to receive anything. I guess that just goes to show that you should always fill out the FAFSA, even when you don’t believe you will receive aid.

$20,000 in merit aid. Didn’t qualify for need-based.

I got $26,000 in grant money and the rest in loans. I’d wind up paying $2,460 each year but would graduate $67,000 in debt :/

i got nearly $30k in grants and scholarship, and considering room and board at $10k and the leftover tuition at $8k…we have to pay 5k more beyond the expected FC…byfar the BEST discount I have at any school! definitely going to Case Western! (:
