Financial aid - bursaries, loans..

<p>Does anyone know how much financial aid does McGill give to international students? We are actually supposed to make a request and enter an amount we need but that's kind of confusing... Obviously, the more financial aid the better... Plus, they are not obliged to assisting my financial needs, I have to be ready to pay for everything by myself... If I didn't have enough money and didn't receive a bursary then I wouldn't get a study permit. If I had enough money I wouldn't be asking for any aid. That's a vicious circle!</p>

<p>Is a bursary something like a major scholarship ($5000-10000) or more like a basic scholarship? Or perhaps even less than that? I would like to make a reasonable request that's why I'm asking...</p>

<p>I was wondering about this too. I'd like to just put the tuition price of about 10k USD there, though I doubt I'd get it. I think I'll email them and ask...though right now I'm inclined towards putting maybe 5k.</p>

I am about to fill out those fin. aid forms and was just curious....I actually need a lot of fin aid but I'm worried that it might be so much that I won't receive anything at all....if i knew approx. how much they give, I'd be able to make plans and try to look for specific amount of money from some other sources maybe.....before it's too late</p>
