My student ebill shows that I must pay about $3900, but this doesn't reflect my financial aid grant award. Does anyone know why financial aid hasn't credited my CARS account? I am enrolled in full time units by the way. Could it be that the process just takes some time? Please let me know if any of you have had a similar problem.

I'm having the same problem, but I contacted the FAO, and they said it'll take some time. If you have a financial aid grant, don't worry - they said the disbursement process will complete around mid-August.

that's exactly what I needed to know

My financial grant went throught last week. Don't know if I'll get a refund. Maybe that will come later...I hope.

yeah if we pay the amount it's asking right now, and scholarships come in later, do we get refunded or what? how does that work?

Um, I'm not sure exactly, but according to what I understand, whatever financial aid we get (at least in my case: I'm a R&C scholar) will be first used to pay for our tuition and registration fees, then our housing. If there's any money left to be paid, you have to pay it. If, however, there is overage, that will be made into a refund check, or transferred into your designated bank account through EFT, and you have to use this for personal expenses. Apparently, you don't have to use your EFC unless you have to pay some extra cash which is not covered by the scholarship and/or financial aid - usually, the EFC simply supplements the refund check, and plays no role unless you have to, say, pay for some housing that isn't covered by the scholarship and/or financial aid.

I'll be really glad if anyone corrects me on this, though.
