financial aid?

i got financial aid award that covers over 2 semesters of tuition, and on Bearfacts Financial Aid Award Summary it says its received, but not registered.????? And the CARS Awards Summary page says i have NO awards.........

do i just need to do my Ebillz stuff?

bump, i need to know as well

I have NO IDEA what's going on. I've been told the financial aid will be sent to CARS by the deadline, but TOMORROW is the deadline and I haven't seen any changes.

the fao is annoying... why can't they just relieve all our anxieties by sending the aid money to our cars account at least a week before it's due? i'm now worrying that it won't come in by tomorrow as well, and i'm really depending on it. if they charge me late fees because of this whole fiasco, that'll just be the icing on the cake.

and the fao seems unwilling to accept either my calls or giving a reply to my emails

one more year... one more year...

For Accepted my Cal Grant says N/A, which Im assuming is not-applicable. Am I still getting it?

I am also having the same issues. I already did all the financial aid requirements (no documents missing, loan status complete, but no CARS awards). I did get an e-mail from them saying they would apply the Cal Bears Scholarship in time, but that wouldn't cover my minimum fees.

They never replied to my e-mails, so let's hope they can do this on time.

Guys, calm down. It wasn't until about two days ago that my CARS account reflected what my Financial Aid Letter said. Even if you are late, it's not really your fault. You really shouldn't be sweating this.

It's the end of the world!!!

Hey HopefullyHaas, what did you mean by "For Accepted my Cal Grant says N/A, which Im assuming is not-applicable"? Did you see Cal Grant listed as one of your Financial Aid in the "Award Summary" list under "Financial Aid" tab in Bearfacts? Because, I don't see mine...and I am SURE I have Cal Grant.

How much is the late fee that they charge you if you don't get the payment in on time? If it's a large amount, many of us should worry considering we are so strapped financially.

Yeah, it has my CalGrant listed. But where everything else says accepted/declined, my calgrant says N/A...whats up with that?

i FINALLY got hold of the financial aid office this morning, and apparently they screwed up something since they said the money should be in my account by now, and they don't know what's keeping it from coming in. how charming.

i asked about the late fees (which i believe is $50) and they said that it will not be imposed in my case.

Thanks HopefullyHaas. I am going to ***** a lot at financial aid office once I get there.

By the way, does FAO open on Saturdays and Sundays? I plan to ***** the weekend right before move in week.
