Financial aid charges and dropping summer class

I received financial aid for the 8 units I'm taking during summer. I am desperate in dropping one of the 4 units class. Since I passed the drop with refund deadline, I'm afraid that I'll be charged for the units I drop, and as well as the remaining 4 units I'll keep because the total units will be below 6. The summeraid officer asked me to refer to the faq, which is quite confusing.

"If you are Adding or Dropping courses after your first session has begun
the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office (FASO) will not reduce, retract
or bill you for your financial aid if you make enrollment changes.
...
You may be billed for your financial aid only if you withdraw from summer
sessions or cancel your summer enrollment entirely. Adding and Dropping
classes once your session has begun does not impact financial aid other
than federal PELL grants."

Has any of you had similar experience before? Will I be charged or not?

Dont worry about it. I just contacted them today with the same problem. I have 6 units and I’m dropping down to 3. They wont charge you money and they’ll just keep the money you payed for the class.

Thanks for your reply. That solves half of my problem.
I didn’t pay money out of my pocket anyways due to financial aid. My trouble right now whether they’ll charge me of the financial aid for the units I drop. I’ll even settle for a partial refund/charge just to drop the class. I’ll go figure this out in Sproul tomorrow.
