So I applied ED to Cornell and I forgot to do the CSS on collegeboard. Am I screwed?

Maybe it’s me but I always thought the CSS Profile was just for FA and completed after you were accepted…

Yeah that’s what I thought too, but the deadline was November 1st…

If you get accepted, then I think it would be fine if you submitted the CSS profile then, if you say you can’t pay for it. However, I’m not sure, you’re going to have to call the financial aid office.

You were looking at the deadline for Spring admission.

Fall admission - March 1*
Deadline for financial-aid applicants to submit the CSS PROFILE application and the FAFSA to the processor. (The FAFSA may be submitted to the processor as late as May 1 for Cornell.)

http://admissions.cornell.edu/apply/transfer/timetable.cfm

Just submit it now. You might get a response back a bit later than your decision, but it shouldn’t affect the admissions process or your FA.

ncmentor is wrong…the deadline for ED applicants for the CSS profile was November 1st. it won’t affect your ED decision as the finaid office is separate from the admissions office, but it may affect your finaid application (though I’m completely unsure of that, just saying it’s a possibility).

The reason for the early deadline for the CSS is so that you can have your finaid estimate at the same time you get your decision. If you submit late, you will still have every opportunity to get aid. The problem will be that you are left with the option of having to accept without knowing how much aid you will receive.

That’s a relief. Thank you everyone!
