What's the financial aid deadline for W&M? I've seen both 2/15 and 3/1 on the website.

I know that you just have to file the FAFSA. But by when?

Thanks.

By 2/15 for Freshmen.

By 3/1 for Transfers.

I know, this confused me too. It was bolded until March 1, 2010 on one sheet, and then in really tiny font until February 15th on the other, so I missed it at first.

But yeah, it’s due in Feb for freshmen.

Actually, the FAFSA deadline has been changed to March 1 for both freshmen and transfer applicants. However, the earlier you can submit the FAFSA the faster we can being processing your application so should we need additional materials you have more time to prepare those.

I called & got an answer on the phone, but I figure I will ask here & get an answer in ‘writing’ from W&M Admissions (please!)

If we know we will not get any financial aid & we are going to have our kid take out any student loans (at least this year), is there any reason to fill out the FAFSA? Do kids need to submit the FAFSA to be considered for a Monroe Scholar program, for instance?

Thanks!
