As we come to a close in the college admission's process I want to try to help out future college applicants regarding the correlation between financial aid email and acceptances. Has anyone been contacted by financial aid and then accepted a few weeks later. From the University of Chicago board, those who were contacted by financial aid department were later admitted and same is true for Dartmouth. If you have anything to add please add it here so we can help future applicants with this elusive question.

I was contacted by Duke..we'll see tomorrow.

Remember to tell us what happens on this thread when you get your decision. This will be interesting.

Cornell is apparently notorious for sending out fin aid emails to those who are later rejected (or at least was the case of a few CC'ers couple of years ago). I would keep up the hope though; good luck!

i was contacted by midd FA office a week before i was rejected ed2

I was accepted…although I doubt this finaid email mattered lol. I was a legacy with good stats from Hawaii.

My child was contacted by a top ten rated school on March 15 by the financial aid department to submit a missing form.

Rejected last night.

They sent me a letter a week before I was accepted.
