Financial Aid for 100k+?

<p>Can any current students with 100k-125k income tell me what their Carleton financial aid packages looked like?</p>

<p>From the very lowest end of your range . . . it was the cost minus our EFC. They were very receptive to looking at special family circumstances and working with us within their financial policies. I believe Carleton gets very good marks from students on financial aide . . . we certainly found this to be true.</p>

<p>The package includes the usual federal loans (Perkins, Stafford), work-study, and then grants to cover the difference to EFC. In my experience, Carleton has been on the generous side calculating EFC.</p>

<p>We're in that income range. Carleton gave our daughter decent grant, along with NMF money, the Byrd Scholarship, a small unsubsidized loan, and campus employment. Still leaves $20,000-plus out-of-pocket annually. :(</p>

<p>Although it hasn't been updated for 2008-09, Carleton's Student Financial Services site does have a chart showing average financial aid awards (with a breakdown by type of aid) for different family income ranges. You'll find it here:</p>
