Can I expect any aid at all if my total household income is 156K, and my EFC is about 41K?

probably around 5 grand or so? If that. You'll probably get loans.

Hmmm... My parents make 150k and I got about 30,000 total, man financial aid is a crapshoot. I guess I'm pretty lucky

Just remember, with loans you aren't "getting" anything; you are merely deferring the cost to later at a higher price.

how about a family that makes 150k but has another kid already enrolled in college?

Was that 30K in mostly grant aid?

EFC's can be very different, even if parents make the same amount. Keep that in mind.

If your EFC is 41K and and your cost of attendance is less than that...you will probably not be offered any aid.

If yEFC is more than 41K and your cost of attendance is greater than that you will be offered some kind of loan, probably not a need-based loan since the income is 150K...most likely a parent PLUS loan or unsubsidized Stafford loan (both are federal and non-need based) to cover the difference.
